More volumes

Another activity of the „Christmas Capacity theme“ was counting monkey nuts into different sizes boxes. First we estimated how many we would be able to fit in each of the boxes or for the younger children simply which one of the boxes would contain the most monkey nuts. We then counted the nuts into the boxes, wrote down the results and finally to demonstrate that the biggest box really was the biggest box we emptied the nuts into each of the smaller boxes and watched how the spilled out as there were too many for the smaller boxes.

S and I also made an angel each for the Christmas tree.

E made a lantern out of a tin.

We wrapped up so pretend Christmas presents.

We went on with the Anglo-Saxon summary. And the children did their usual schoolwork.
